Private Project

Glitch

A seemingly insignificant gesture shatters the carefully constructed peace of Vicky's life, catapulting her back into a dark memory she has desperately tried to outrun.
Consumed by a black hole of anxiety, fear and anger, Vicky finds herself suffocating under the weight of a past she had long sealed away.
For too long, she has hidden from the world, barely surviving as she struggles to breathe and simply exist. Now, faced with the resurfacing trauma, Vicky must confront the depths of her despair and find the strength within herself to choose survival.

Director Biography - Roby Walsh

Drawing deeply from my personal journey with mental health and living with MS, my work is a powerful exploration of the female perspective, centred on themes of inner strength, belonging, and the lived experience of disability. I am dedicated to advancing inclusivity within the film industry, using my voice to inspire audiences and build a stronger community of female artists.

I am an Actress, Writer & Director, originally from Italy, currently based in Edinburgh. My early passion for the performing arts began at a young age with training in opera and theatre at a conservatory in Italy.

I've had experiences both in front of and behind the camera, starring in the horror short Uncanny Valley and directing acting the drama short Glitch, along with appearances on Prime and BBC.

Beyond the screen, I am a published author of the children's book The Extraordinary Unicorn.
I was also proud to serve as an official Judge at the West Lothian Film Festival in 2024 and to be joining the panel of judges at the Leith Short Film Festival 2026.

Director Statement

Mental health is a topic deeply personal to me. Drawing from my own journey of living with Multiple Sclerosis, managing chronic pain and anxiety, recovering from PTSD after a bone marrow transplant, I am compelled to share the stories of what we experience 'behind closed doors.' My perspective, shaped by my struggles with deep depression, positions me to shed light on the reality of mental health challenges and inspire a deeper understanding and empathy in others. I aim to move the conversation beyond surface-level awareness to a genuine understanding of the lived experience.
