Girlfriend
"Girlfriend" is a dramedy about the fragility of interpersonal relationships. On the quiet streets of New Year's Eve Trnava, the story of three young people – Lucia, David, and Victoria - unfolds among the Christmas lights. Their relationship is continuously interweaving of subtle hints and unspoken words, in which hope is mixed with uncertainty, and the real secrets are hidden behind fake smiles.

When he was 17 years old, Vitalii moved from Russia to Slovakia. It was initially challenging to adapt to a new environment alone. Yet, from the very first day, he set a clear goal: to find a new home in Slovakia and become a local film director. From the beginning of his immigrant journey, Vitalii devoted himself to learning the Slovak language and immersing himself in the culture of his new country.
Two years have passed since his arrival. At that time, Slovak had become almost like a second mother language for him. Vitalii enrolled in a prestigious mass media institute in the beautiful city of Trnava and formed many new connections. He has already written and directed two Slovak short student films ("Welcome" (2024) and "Girlfriend" (2025)) and remains determined to continue working toward fulfilling his dream of becoming a professional director.
