Girl Looking For A Door
“girl looking for a door “centers around the burning issue of women’s protection.. Even today women are concerned about their safety…and constantly try to search for the safe door… despite their entire struggle; women realize that she is not safe anywhere…this is the central message of the film. The writer/director has attempted to expose it through the brilliantly scripted screenplay…
Through this film the writer-director also exposes the common penchant and thinking of man about the women, that if women are unbiased she is insipid and can easily be accessible for the sex… There is a Casanova inside every man…normally we distinguish women as sex property and never look at her heart…
The beauty of the film is that… this 119 minutes film survive on only three characters…Mariya, Aman and Kumar Bihari…and two characters who make their entry in the climax for only few sequences…and 60 percent film is shot indoor in one flat. Aman is a struggling writer in Bollywood who tries to make a film with his struggling director Kumar Bihari….After a span of two years, one fine day, during his travel, Aman suddenly comes across his college friend Mariya seated at a bus stop in a somewhat depressed mood. Aman reminiscences his college days and realizes that Mariya may be reeling in trouble……Another day, he meets Mariya and tries to know about her problem..But Mariya is well aware that she is happy and not in any trouble…
After meeting Aman the second day Mariya recalls that Aman is unmarried and staying alone in a rented flat…Immediately, Mariya approaches him if he is interested to welcome her at his flat. Aman instantly agrees. After that daily Maria begins to visit his house with some reasons and cares for him a lot and returns to her home at 6pm in the evening……..
On the other side, Kumar Bihari, on every evening takes to alcoholism with Aman at his house…when he comes to know that every day Mariya visits Aman’s house,he starts to misguide him about Mariya’s intention…Earlier, Aman never accepted the fact, but gradually he believes kumar’s words…and tries to follow Kumar’s instruction how to approach Mariya for sex… Even as Aman is a very innocent guy and has never touched any one girl till now…he fails at every attempt every day…Unable to control himself, one fine day, he tries to force Mariya.
Somehow Mariya saves herself and becomes uncomfortable with this act of Aman and leaves her house….but before exiting, Mariya reveals her problem….Aman gets shocked to know this.
To know what transpired in the climax..don’t forget to watch this bold and beautiful story of “girl looking for a door”
