Ghost Night Writer

Ghost Night Writer is an epic, dramatic cinematic tale that blends visceral realism with metaphysical wonder. The story opens with a devastating car crash on a winding mountain road. Behind the wheel of her black Tesla, the protagonist barely survives, waking up changed — fragmented memories, a body that feels only half-present, and a persistent feeling of floating between heaven and earth.
From the wreckage emerges a new ability: she can now read the Akasha Records. These glowing streams of universal knowledge flood her mind, unlocking deep creativity and inner power she never knew she possessed. Instead of breaking, she begins to write with ferocious intensity — not only books and articles, but also films and musicals that pour out of her passion.
Clad in her long black coat and sunglasses, she becomes the Ghost Night Writer: a silent, unstoppable force who channels loss into luminous creation. The film follows her as she navigates two worlds at once — the physical reality of the Netherlands and Spain, and the vast, timeless realm of pure consciousness — while transforming personal trauma into profound artistic victory.
With striking visuals, a haunting score, and a fiercely strong central performance, Ghost Night Writer celebrates resilience, the healing power of writing, and the magic that can rise from the darkest night.

Trivia – Ghost Night Writer
Q: What inspired the film Ghost Night Writer?

Ghost Night Writer is written and directed by Yvonne Padmos, directly based on her own book and deeply personal true story. After a life-changing car accident in the mountains, Yvonne transformed her profound trauma into powerful art. This film represents what she hopes will be the final chapter in which she publicly processes her personal journey. As she puts it, the trauma ran so deep that it became fuel for multiple books and films — a cathartic creative marathon she is now ready to conclude with this cinematic statement.

Fun Fact – Title Adventures!!!

During development, Yvonne seriously hesitated between Ghost Night Writer and Ghost Night Rider. “I kept thinking: am I writing my story or riding through it?” she laughs. Many people around her kept mishearing or misreading the title as Ghost Knight Writer, imagining some medieval ghost with a typewriter. “At one point I thought maybe I should just go with the knight version and add a sword,” she jokes.

In the end, Ghost Night Writer won — because the story is truly about a woman who writes through the darkest nights of her life. ( Surviving non stop) And yes, she gave her lead actress the ultimate luxury fantasy companion: a sleek black Tesla that feels almost alive. “Who doesn’t dream of a car that can talk back?” . “Mine doesn’t just drive through the mountains — it listens, it glows, and it carries me forward when my own strength wavers.”
This blend of raw survival, Matrix-inspired aesthetics, and light-hearted humor makes Ghost Night Writer not only an inspiring survival drama but also a deeply human story about resilience, creativity, and the healing power of turning pain into art.

Did you know?
Yvonne Padmos wrote the filmscript as well as all the soundtracks and lyrics herself. Yes — that is her own voice you hear in the official Vevo music videos.
“As you dare to overcome multiple Near-Death Experiences, you also dare to raise your voice and share your story,” says Yvonne. “Writing the music and singing it myself was the final, most powerful step in reclaiming my voice — both literally and figuratively.

Director Biography

Yvonne Padmos, born in the Netherlands, is a screenwriter, playwright, songwriter, and actress. She began writing poetry twenty years ago and has never stopped creating. Many of her books have been transformed into films and theatrical productions.
With a portfolio of more than 50 film scripts, theater plays, and musical works, Yvonne creates entirely on her own terms. Her focus has always been on the pure act of creation rather than the pursuit of fame. Having survived multiple near-death experiences and comas, she now lives and creates fully in the present moment. She has zero patience for social media noise, marketing, or small talk, and often jokingly calls herself “The Lazy Writer” — a humorous contrast to her vast creative output. For Yvonne, the passion to create is the greatest miracle; whether the work is judged as “the best” is irrelevant, as the process itself is the true reward.
In every photograph and in daily life, Yvonne is seen wearing her signature sunglasses. After her comas, the world became far brighter and more luminous to her. Normal daylight feels intensely radiant, almost blinding. The sunglasses are therefore both a practical necessity and a symbolic reminder of how vividly she now perceives life.
Yvonne consciously stays away from social platforms, preferring the depth of her work over the noise of promotion

Her music is featured on Vevo, her YouTube Official Artist Channel, and has been played on international radio.Because she avoids social media, all professional inquiries and bookings for live stage performances can be directed to her management at: management@officialyvonnepadmos.com

Director Statement

Through my many near-death experiences and comas, I have learned to live in the 'now.' I have zero patience for marketing, social media, or small talk. I am at my best when I am writing. Whether that writing is considered 'the best' is not for me to judge, nor does it need to be judged. To me, the passion to create is the most beautiful gift I have ever received.
It took forty years of navigation to finally honor my own path. I have reached a point where I prioritize my inner peace over the rigid definitions of a 'professional' career. If the cost of conventional success is my tranquility, I choose the latter without hesitation. I no longer create to fit an industry; I create to remain true to my own rhythm.

It is never too late to turn your back on the noise and return to yourself. True success isn't found in being known by everyone; it’s found in being at peace when you are alone. My work is an invitation to stop performing and start existing. Don't wait for a second chance at life to start living your first one."
