Actor/Director/Day Player/Haunt Denizen who lives in Portland, Oregon and produces films for submission to festivals all along the West Coast.
Lucky to have met plenty of cool folks as a day player or working on improvisation skills with the crew at the Cinema of Horrors.
Using these experiences, Peter Grey, under the banner of Red Stool Productions, can travel across America sampling the best of independent cinema that people have shared with us over the years.
Portland is an amazing city and is one of many in this great land of ours. We get to meet all sorts of folks who lend us their time and talents. That allows us to create real films, about real people, compelling locations, with some authentic stories about adversity being overcome and experiences gained!
No AI was used in the creation of this film, or any of our productions because only true-life experiences of our guests will produce the sweet fruit of knowledge!
It was a time when meeting up meant showing up, in person, on location!
Being a young woman meant covering your drink before going to the bathroom in packs. Young men struggling to find a common identity through live music. Seedy bars full of forever friends that you will never see again.
Chicks with a tsunami of bangs and denim, combined with the aroma of Love’s Baby Soft with just a hint of clove cigarettes. You take it all in as you stepped up to the bar and ordered yet another round of $3 Guinness pints with Purple Heart shooters for those crazy, crazy nights!
Gen Mess is a gnarly 5-episode webseries with 10 interviews that start by reaching out to the folks who want to know more about the stories their grandparents keep telling them as they babysit. Again.
Appealing to an audience comprised of younger generations who find similar problems, along with older generations who have solved much of the same.
Discussing topics that bring a deeper understanding of the unique struggles that every generation confronted, and how Gen-X honed the survival skills that are needed to face the struggles of today.
We learn what it felt like being the last generation that knows the world before it went wide!
Having these interviews find an audience whose interest is way beyond just Gen-X, it’s an appeal to all generations for help and understanding.
Like a wise man once said “Mothers, Fathers, Sisters and Brothers: We never run outta hope when we love one another!”
