Edward Horsky is a young German filmmaker with Romanian roots, currently living between Cyprus and Augsburg, Bavaria. His work explores reflective, character-driven stories that blend cultural nuance with the shared threads of our common humanity.
Gasoline is an emotionally ambiguous exploration of two men, Jona and Simon, whose chance encounter at a gas station stirs cryptic signals and buried truths. Set against a backdrop of stillness and quiet momentum, the film unfolds as a subtle meditation on connection, distance, and the unspoken complexities of belonging.
Through sparse dialogue and lingering glances, Gasoline becomes a wish, to find one’s fuel in a world clouded by uncertainty. It invites us to ask: When are we giving mixed signals, and when are we simply receiving them? At its heart, the film reflects on the romantic tension and possibility that can exist within ambiguity.
