Garner has been a writer, musician, composer and songwriter for 20 years, and performed both solo and with his band Tao Jones, and with Big City Improv providing live music for their performances. His CDs, including Metaphysical Therapy, was in the National Archives of Canada until its closure. He also illustrates original children’s stories for author Rachelle Redford. He was a practicing Registered Massage Therapist for 6 years. Garner graduated from University of Guelph with a BA in Philosophy, where he also began his scriptwriting career producing the science fiction radio comedy Post Modern at CFRU-FM. In August of 2005, with a friend, he wrote and co-produced one of Canada’s first Web series, "Hockey Strike." Born in Toronto, adopted, and raised in Mississauga, he now lives in Stratford, Ontario, with his family.
Garner is a Member of the Writers Guild of Canada (WGC), and a Canadian citizen.
