Galgo

Xalvador is a silent, lonely child abused by his father. When his only friend, a Spanish greyhound destined for slaughter, is rescued by a group of volunteers to be taken to Italy, Xalvador decides to follow him unbeknownst to everyone. Miriam, one of the volunteers, is tasked with taking him home, separating him from his beloved dog and returning him to his abusive father. A testimony of the massacres perpetrated each year by "galgueros" from the perspective of a six-year-old boy.
