Director Statement

Classic european knight saga meets samurai cinema. The story of the brave knight Adalbert and his search for the kidnapped prince's daughter. A love story. While a narrator tells us the adventure in lyrical verse (the film was dubbed in German and English by well-known fairy tale film voice artists) - a classic Genji Eiga unfolds visually. A deep declaration of love to Kenji Musumi, Hideo Gosha, Kinji Fukasaku, and Japanese samurai films. Filmed complete in Germany on location.
