GRANDAD

ENGLISH:
A documentary for children. Noah and Felix are like most boys. They play football, hang out with friends and play playstation. The boys also spend a lot of time with their grandpa who always has time to play. One day the boys get a sad message. Grandpa has got a fatal disease.

For several years we follow the boys through ups and downs with grandpa. Even though Grandpa eventually loses the ability to speak and becomes completely paralyzed, they are still best friends.

NORWEGIAN:
Noah og Felix er som gutter flest. De spiller fotball, henger med venner og spiller playstation. Guttene tilbringer også mye tid med morfar som alltid har tid til å leke. En dag får guttene en trist beskjed. Morfar har fått en dødelig sykdom.

Over flere år følger vi guttene gjennom oppturer og nedturer sammen med morfar. Selv når morfar til slutt mister evnen til å snakke og blir helt lam, er de fortsatt bestevenner.

Director Biography - Torgeir Kalvehagen

ENGLISH:
Torgeir Kalvehagen works as a director and producer at Filmplot and Sanden Media. In the early 1990s he started his career in the children department of NRK, the Norwegian public broadcast services. Kalvehagen has studied film in the Czech Republic, the US and at the University of Volda in Norway.

NORWEGIAN:
Kalvehagen jobber som produsent og regissør for Filmplot og Sanden media. Han startet sin karriere i NRK barne- og ungdomsavdelingen tidlig på 1990-tallet. Kalvehagen har studert film i Tsjekkia, USA og ved Høgskolen i Volda.
