A widowed hitman seeks revenge but must decide between saving his corrupt brother or a helpless victim of human trafficking. Gin is a neo-noir detective film that takes place on the streets of Las Vegas, Nevada (Sin City). This anti-hero story explores the themes of sacrifice and redemption.

Gin was filmed in Mexico, Las Vegas, Nevada and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Over 90% of the cast and crew are of latino heritage. All cast and crew members are based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Director Biography - Jose Castillo

José Castillo began his career as a 3D Animator creating photo realistic technical animations. A NBA Champion and former video producer for the Milwaukee Bucks, José’s dream of making it to the NBA was realized. His passion for storytelling, and cinematic documentary style has won 4 Emmy Awards, 3 Telly Awards and has generated millions of views across all social media platforms.

José has worked with Fortune 500 companies, sports entertainment brands and non-profits including: Northwestern Mutual, Johnson Controls, Harper's Bazaar, Marquette University Athletics, American Lung Association, John Michael Kohler Art Center, and the Wisconsin Museum of Quilts & Fibers Arts.

A adjunct professor at Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC), José teaches all facets of video production. His curriculum is based on storytelling, principles of photography, and video editing. He enjoys mentoring each student and providing assistance in producing short form video content and short films.
