Chloe Salman is a filmmaker, director, and editor whose work explores self-identity, mental health, and emotional isolation in the digital age. Her storytelling focuses on character-driven narratives that examine internal conflict and the psychological impact of modern technology.
Her short film GHOSTED received the Best Film award at the Thank You Film Festival and was an official selection of the Momentu College Film Festival and the Aspiring Minds Film Festival. The film was also recognized as Best of Film at George Mason University.
With a background in both production and post-production, Chloe brings a strong editorial sensibility to her directing work, emphasizing performance, atmosphere, and emotional realism. She is currently based in Los Angeles.
I created GHOSTED as a way to explore how technology can complicate our relationship with ourselves. I was interested in how constant digital connection can heighten feelings of isolation, especially for people already struggling with their mental health.
The film was designed to feel intimate and internal, using performance, pacing, and atmosphere to reflect the psychological space of someone slowly losing clarity over who they are. My goal was not to make a statement about technology itself, but to examine how easily identity can become fragmented when isolation begins to replace self-understanding.
