GAS STATION OR THE PIGEONS OF LAHORE

The film it's the parallel stories of three Pkistani's migrants who came to Greece 10-15 years ago, following illegal paths, paying many thousands of dollars to human smugglers, putting their lives in danger on a small boat at the Aegean Sea.

These migrants live in Greece, all of them illegal because the Greek State has an unhuman migrant policy, working at GAS STATIONS, without a prime salary, as slaves in the slums, under pressure of each boss.

These stories were the motivation for me to recall in my memory many things about my father's story who was a worker in Shipyard, not far from our house. My father lived in the same situation, faced threats from the bosses, 70 years ago. My father was a christian, not a muslim, my father was a Greek citizen, not an illegal migrant, my father had a white not a darker skin.

So, the poor and the unprotected people have the same destiny independent from religion or the colour of skin.

During the filming, a terrible shipwreck, all the victims are Pakistanis, at the Mediterranean sea, happened. Nobody knows the number of the victims today, because the smugglers from Libya put on the small ship a lot of hundreds of young boys. The ship started the wreck from Al Khoms, Libya, and the final destination was an unknown place in South Italy.

Finally, in the film I examine two crimes with Pakistani migrants, the first with known racist motivation, the first racist crime in Greece after World War II and one more, a terrible crime in Athens, during the filming.

The film contains some serious documents about the swipreck and the racist crimes.
