Director Biography - Dusan Mrden

Dušan is an award winning director for his short film Cathartique, and has produced many short films including Yes, Virginia, Life’s A Show and Harvey Puttock's last short film Are We Doing This?

After finishing the Filmmaking Diploma at the London Film Academy, he completed an MA in Film and Television Production at the Cambridge School of Arts, Anglia Ruskin University.

During his studies in London, Dušan trained for years at the Free Association as an improviser after which he successfully completed the Acting Diploma at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

As of 2022. Dušan is the Creative Director of Yason - a company that distributes eyewear from EssilorLuxottica across the territories of Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia. Conceptualising visuals, fashion editorials and the overall brand narrative with a team of highly skilled creatives.

Director Statement

The music video for the song Fux Deluxe was an absolutely unique experience because it was the lead single of an album which had me and my team create visuals for each song.

My goal in this particular music video was to showcase Sajsi's strength and impact through a fashion visual narrative while also capturing elements of her confidence. We found many influences in movies from the 70s, witchcraft and in the landscape of 90s fashion.

The lyrics of the song written by her deal with the aftermath of a break-up and what an individual is willing to do after experiencing one.
