Director Biography - Gabriel Petersen

My name is Gabriel Petersen, I am currently 22 years old, and I am a senior in the Television and Film Arts Program at Buffalo State College. Ever since I was a kid, I loved films and would always watch the behind the scenes of my favorite films. This love grew into a curiosity and a passion to tell my own stories and make my own films.

Director Statement

I wrote and directed this film because I thought it was a funny concept and I found a lot of opportunities to make it personal. First, I came up with the characters and I took my time to really make them not only likable but complex. I really wanted to explore bad relationships, religion, and political differences. The deeper I got, the more I fell in love with the story and tried to create a good balance between dark comedy and thriller.
I wanted to focus a lot of the story of the wives and show how they are more committed to their relationships. It was a lot of fun to create something that is funny and also has commentary in it as well. Throughout this entire process I have been very proud of all the hard work and effort that everyone has put into making my film a reality.
