Fuggiro Tanto Amore

I have been thinking for many months that I have to write something, a few words, about the next shoot I'm going to direct. Something I have to say, because directors are always asked to put in writing what our motivations are when we build a new movie. But no matter how many laps I give him, I do not find a high justification I can share, a pure and generous motivation that everyone can understand. Making movies is a selfish act; in my case, a way of knowing the world and what surrounds me. There are mysteries that I could not access if it is not through the cinema, situations and experiences that I need to capture and relive through a camera. I need the movement and shoot what is hidden behind a look or a gesture. In the cinema I receive a lot, a lot more than what I offer. I do not find anything more self-indulgent than making movies. It allows me to share a space and a time with people I love, and meet new people that they will be close.

In three days I will start filming "Fuggiro Tanto Amore", and I will face for the first time three mysteries that I have never faced directly: the dialog, the music and the silence. I can say that I am privileged, because I have so many people involved for so long and that will help me to create this short film after almost 6 years of the last one. I hope rise to the challenge.
