Writer Biography - B. R. Tatalovic, Amena Choudhury

B. R. Tatalovic, Serb-American motion picture artist and media educator. Immigrated to the United States from Yugoslavia in 1988 (as 22-year old). In his 20s and 30s worked as: union steelworker (USWA), milling machinist, VHS rental clerk, and home repairs "handy man". Known today as: multimedia artist, screenwriter, and film producer/director/actor.

Amena Choudhury is an immigration and family law attorney based in Ohio. In her spare time, she writes poems and paints. Her family’s roots are from Bangladesh. “Fridden Hills” is Choudhury’s debut script.

Writer Statement

"Fridden Hills" spec presents contemporary America and its harsh reality: social divisions, cultural polarization, blue America, red America, dark America... The characters and their actions are based on everything we experienced in last 10-20 years, such as failed wars, societal divisions, hate, racism and hypocrisy. It's a story about two kids who try to overcome these issues, but their path is filled with numerous obstacles. "Fridden Hills" shows an ugly side of this beautiful country - the side we must see if we wish to move forward.
