Director Statement

Freestyle football is a sport that often flies under the radar, but the level of dedication it demands is immense. I made this documentary to spotlight that commitment—especially through the story of Erlend Fagerli, a world champion who has devoted years to perfecting his craft and pushing the sport’s boundaries.

As someone with a personal passion for freestyle, I’ve always admired the discipline it takes to excel. Filming Erlend’s journey was both inspiring and challenging—especially gathering footage from global competitions in Croatia, Kenya, Belgium, and Norway. I’m grateful to Red Bull and the WFFA for their support in making that possible.

I hope viewers walk away with a deep respect for Erlend’s sacrifice and self-determination, and that his story encourages them to pursue their own goals with the same drive and focus.
