Francesco Filice is an American actor, director, writer and audiobook narrator. Born in Toronto, Ontario to Mary and Umberto Filice (the children of Italian Immigrants) and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Francesco grew up straddling many borders. A fact that helps shape his love for storytelling.
Very early in life Francesco became enamoured with Movies. Hours of his life were spent getting lost in the lives fictional characters and the worlds they inhabited. After watching films such as "Raiders of The Lost Ark" or "Batman(1989)" for the one hundredth time you could find him watching every special feature on the DVD to see how it was made. In fifth grade when prompted for his final project write a book report on an influential figure, while all the other children wrote on presidents and scientist, Francesco chose to write his on Steven Spielberg. From a young age he realized that movies could effect the way people respond to the world. He knew that if they could do that for him, he could help do that for others.
After Graduating from Dublin Scioto High School in 2010 Francesco attended Miami University of Ohio where he received his Bachelor in Science in Media and Film Production. While attending school Francesco focused on camera work and directing but knew that he wanted more. In the last Semester of his senior year Francesco participated in an acting class and quickly took to it. He auditioned for his first professional play and won a staring role as Gabe in Cortney Baron's "Eat Your Heart out" directed by Zack Dailey. An Experience he that would change the course of his career.
After graduating, Francesco Moved to Toronto, Ontario to pursue acting and filmmaking. Since arriving in Toronto Francesco has gone on to star in four feature films: "Broken Mile (2016)", "Rev (2020)", "The Manhattan Project (2021)" and "The Intersection (2022)". He can be seen in the Omni Network television show "Rising Suns (2020)" as the recurring character Mikele and provides his voice talents to the Animated television show "Wild Tales (2018)". In 2022 Francesco made his directorial debut with the short film "Low Water Pressure" which he also wrote, produced and edited.
Francesco is a dual citizen of the United States and Canada, an actor, a narrator and a filmmaker. He is a man who wears many hats. A man that loves the art of storytelling, and a man that carries a passion for filmmaking, one that he looks forward to pursuing for years to come.
