Director Statement

Creating this animated series marks a joyful new chapter in my storytelling journey. After years of producing feature films, music videos, and building stories that speak to real-life challenges and triumphs, stepping into the world of children’s animation felt like a natural—and necessary—evolution. This project allows me to combine my passion for meaningful storytelling with my deep desire to inspire and uplift the next generation. With Foxxy and Shelly, I wanted to create something that felt both fun and heartfelt—a series that celebrates curiosity, empathy, and learning through everyday adventures, just like the ones many of us grew up on, but with a modern, inclusive twist.

As a creator from the South Side of Chicago, I’ve always believed in the power of story to open hearts and spark change. Whether through music, action, or heartfelt drama, I strive to tell stories that matter. This series is no different. It’s about community, friendship, and navigating childhood with courage and kindness. With every frame, my goal is to craft a safe, imaginative space where kids can laugh, learn, and see themselves reflected. Animation may be new terrain for me, but storytelling—that’s home.
