Fourth Wall
Fourth Wall is a stop-motion animated journey taking each viewer down the depths of their memory lane. A personal/political story of a young immigrant from a home that no longer exists, the film confronts the conflicting feelings of yearning for a past that profoundly failed you, and the sacrifice of detachment for the hope of a better future. Infused with a bitter-sweet nostalgia for the things we grow out of and eventually leave behind, from the need to move forward to the urge to escape, Fourth Wall is a harbour for any unprocessed Feeling.

A recent graduate from the Animation Specialism in the Media department of Goldsmiths, University of London, Kseniia's passion for stop-motion dates back to her early childhood. A native Eastern European, in her final Undergraduate project she aspired to reflect the cultural legacy of Soviet animated film in a nostalgic short.
Combine intrusive thoughts with handmade craft and set it in motion - here is my secret recipe for a good animated short.
