Four Generations for Nothing

A working-class family from Queensland, Australia fights the Bank after being told they must vacate their beloved family farm of four generations because of a lower bank valuation. A Queensland family is very happy living where they have for nearly four generations. However, they are forced to leave their beloved home, by the local town bank. 'Four generations for nothing' is the story of how the bank evicts the Jones family from their farm leading to a tragic suicide.

The ROYAL COMMISSION has found Australia's main rural lenders face numerous findings of misconduct over their treatment of struggling farmers. Four Generations For Nothing depicts the confronting reality of the financial hardships our Australian farmers are facing, and how heartless mortgagees are preying on these Aussie heroes.

Four generations for nothing the short film addresses emotional and psychological pressures that families in rural Australia face and is intended to create awareness and promote the Royal Commission into Australia's Banks. If the past is any indication, lenders and the financial services industry will continue to take advantage of borrowers.
