Experiencing Interruptions?

Fossil Record

Fossil Record is a quirky mockumentary farce that digs into small-town Saskatchewan life with eccentric characters and an avalanche of inflatable dinosaurs. Local flavour, absurd situations and a tongue-in-cheek documentary style, this short film playfully blurs the line between history and hilarity- delivering a pre-historic sized laugh you won`t forget!

Director Statement

I wanted to make Fossil Record because the world can feel especially heavy sometimes. I believe in the power of a good laugh - to celebrate the absurdity of life and give us a break from all of the weight that we carry. Sharing laughter brings people closer together, reminding us of our common humanity. Everyone is the same in dino suit, you cannot see race, gender or status: in that suit, we are all the same. That sense of connection is at the heart of WHY I wanted to do this film.
