Director Biography - Will Parker

Eighteen-year-old Will Parker is a Writer, Director, Actor, Producer and New York Native. His short film "Donnybrook", which he made over the pandemic, was accepted into the "All American High School Film Festival". Will's style involves darkly comedic, uncomfortable and tension-built scenarios; all of which are seen through the eyes of colorful and sometimes demonic characters. He is inspired by artists such as Jordan Peele, Joel and Ethan Coen, Steven Spielberg, and Spike Lee. "Forty Winks" is his first feature-length film.

Director Statement

Representing any artists that have been underrepresented since the invention of film is the focus. However, it's important to not let those specifications cloud the way we see underrepresented artists. This is the medium where we can share our interests as a community. We can tell stories that haven't been told. We can tell stories that inspire ourselves and reach all walks of life. These words will guide myself, and hopefully the ones I collaborate with, through our careers.
