Forgiveness in F Minor
Austin MacIntosh grew up in a loving, conservative, christian home with his younger brother Josh, mother Laura, and father Marc whom he shared a love of music with. Austin had a strong bond with his father who taught him piano from a young age. At the age of 16 Austin came out as gay to the one man he looked up to, his father. Instead of accepting Austin, Marc refused to believe or have any understanding of his son's sexuality and kicked him out of their home.
10 years later, and set in the present, Austin receives news of his father's death. He arrives home for his father's wake, desperate for the apology he never received. He is then forced to choose between an apology on his own terms, or the family he misses.

Doug Sroka (He/They) is an Actor/Writer/Filmmaker, currently living in Toronto. They are a graduate of the Toronto Film School, where they earned their diploma in “Acting for Film, Television, and The Theatre”. It was at TFS that they first developed an interest in directing; writing and directing their silent film “Labelled”. Doug then went on to write, direct, and star in his capstone film, “Chivalry Ain’t Dead”. This film was selected for five festivals, was a semi-finalist at the San Francisco Arthouse Short Festival, received an Honorable Mention and won the Audience Choice Award at the Dark Comedy Film Festival, and was nominated for Best Short at the Alternative Film Festival. After graduating from TFS, Doug had the opportunity to come back and Stage Manage/Co-Direct the production of “Judge, Jury, Judas”, alongside Rosanna Saracino.
"Forgiveness in F Minor" is Doug's first directorial effort since graduating, and he's excited to showcase it in festivals.
As a director, Doug is committed to platforming Queer stories. They think it is important to create the art we want to see in the world, and to create our own opportunities.
