Cameron Sun is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker and creative director. A graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Cameron has built a dynamic career that bridges the gap between traditional filmmaking and online digital media.
Cameron's filmmaking journey is marked by a series of acclaimed genre short films. His horror drama "Forgive Me" (2024) premiered at the renowned Sitges Film Festival. His action short films "Spider-Chan" (2023) and “John Witch” (2019) both won the Best Fan Film award at Urban Action Showcase. His horror short film "The Hangman" (2022), premiered at Screamfest Horror Film Festival and won Best Horror/Thriller Film at Glendale International Film Festival. He's passionate about creating genre films that explore Asian American identity and cross cultural understanding.
As the creative director of Cam's Creations, Cameron has created a thriving YouTube channel with over 1.4 million subscribers and more than 588 million views. His channel is known for its viral action-comedy shorts inspired by comic books, movies and video games. He has partnered with major brands like Marvel, Sony Pictures, Ubisoft, Google, Adobe and more on marketing campaigns. Cameron's online videos have gained widespread recognition, being featured by publications like Buzzfeed, The Daily What, The Awesomer, Gamology and more.
Following in the footsteps of filmmakers Danny & Michael Philippou, Joe Penna and Freddie Wong, Cameron began his career on YouTube and is now making his mark in traditional filmmaking.
