Director Statement

I first heard Patti Jo's story a few years ago from my best friend, Patti Jo's granddaughter. I have a passion for telling stories about women's identities and the experience of womanhood at all ages, and I immediately found that Patti Jo's story embodied those aspects in a way that truly inspired me. Our goal with this film was to present how women can lose touch with their singularity and passions with the different paths they choose, especially when it comes to marriage and motherhood. Patti Jo's story also teaches us that it is never too late to change your life and break free from the path you are expected to take, and it’s certainly never too late to rediscover yourself.
