Director Statement

“For All I Know” illuminates the often-hidden struggles of living with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Statistics show that many individuals with OCD go undiagnosed for an average of 14-17 years due to a lack of understanding and the perpetuation of stereotypes in media. Hollywood frequently portrays OCD with superficial behaviors like excessive cleanliness or organization, ignoring the more profound, debilitating aspects of the disorder. This film dispels these myths and offers a more accurate, compassionate representation of OCD.

“For All I Know” emphasizes that OCD is not a quirky personality trait but a serious disorder that affects every aspect of a person’s life. Through this film, I encourage a broader conversation about mental health and the importance of seeking help. It’s time to move beyond surface-level depictions and address the real experiences of those with OCD, providing a platform for empathy and awareness.
