Director Biography - Nikola Krulj

Nikola Krulj is a young artist and filmmaker. Hailing from a town in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nikola has a passion for the arts, and has chosen to pursue his love for filmmaking through his studies as an art student.
Nikola's dedication and hard work are evident in his short films, which he writes, directs, and edits himself. One of his most notable works is "The Hammer", which showcases his unique vision and artistic sensibility.

Director Statement

In "Fly High Mono," we follow the poignant journey of a small mannequin designed solely for the purpose of being drawn upon. But Mono, as he's affectionately called, harbors a desire far beyond his designated role. Discontent with being a mere subject for the artist's hand, Mono longs for autonomy and self-expression. As the film unfolds, we witness Mono's quiet rebellion against the constraints of his existence, a rebellion that symbolizes the universal struggle for agency and identity.
