Director Biography - Daniel Paul

Daniel Paul, an independent filmmaker, and a New Hampshire native, began making super 8 films in the early 1970's. He went on to study film production and film theory at Keene State College and was one of the very first film students at Keene State. He has gone on to make a number short, dramatic films, including the award winning short film "Hangover" (1981), documentaries, TV commercials and industrial films.

Director Statement

"First Draft to Final Cut" chronicles the making of my third college film project titled "Reminiscing" made at Keene State College in 1983. "Reminiscing" was the first student film shot at Keene State with synchronized sound, and was one of just a handful of films that had been made in Keene States burgeoning young film program at that time. The story of the making of "Reminiscing" is told directly by the people who made it 40 years ago, with film clips, behind the scenes stories about the writing of the script, as well as the shooting, editing and screenings of the film.
