House of Fire
Flames close in from every side. Everything appears intact, yet all has already turned to ash.
People run, resist, and hope—unaware that this was never a place to remain.
Born into fire, each breath marks a quiet countdown toward dissolution.
Through a dreamlike meditation on form and void, the work reflects on the absurdity of existence, the illusion of choice, and the suffering that never sleeps.
In burning, there is awakening. In impermanence, a truth: nothing to cling to, nothing to possess.

We are all living in a burning house—not because flames are visible, but because desire, attachment, and delusion consume us from within.
This is not a tale of heaven and hell, nor a question of good versus evil. The deeper question is:
Are we even aware that we are inside?
This work draws inspiration from the Buddhist parable of the burning house in the Lotus Sutra, interwoven with years of personal reflection on Zen, emptiness, and the human condition.
Fire represents suffering. The house is our illusion of safety and meaning. But life is impermanent—from the moment we are born, we are already walking toward disappearance.
We are wanderers in flame, searching for a way out among the ruins.
I chose not to rely on narration or words. Instead, I allowed images to carry the emotion and thought. The interplay of fire and ice, angels and demons, form and void—all are visual metaphors for the contradictions within human nature.
While certain scientific metaphors, like “critical mass” or “half-life,” appear subtly throughout the film, they are not central—they are echoes, reminders of thresholds crossed, both internally and cosmically.
Ultimately, this film does not offer an answer.
It offers a moment—
to pause, to see clearly, and perhaps to realize where the fire truly begins.
