Growing up, my dad always made sure to go out of his way to show me classic and groundbreaking movies. Being the avid movie watcher he is, he wanted to share them with me, and raise me in an environment where we could sit and reflect on what made them so important.
In my freshman year of high school, I was given an assignment to make a short film about a daily routine or activity that I did. I threw myself into it, and found that I loved filmmaking even more than I loved film watching! Desperate to learn more about the process and gain experience, I applied to and attended the NYU Summer Highschool Filmmakers Workshop in 2022, and then the next year got admitted to and attended CSSSA, the California State Summer School Of the Arts in 2023. I am currently enrolled in the University of California, Santa Cruz as a Film and Digital Media major. Through the programs and classes I have taken, my filmmaking has evolved and will continue to evolve as I grow and learn further.
Drawing influence and inspiration from innovative directors such as Wong Kar-Wai, Edgar Wright, and Wes Anderson, I aspire to make a style as unique, playful, and recognizable as any one of these revolutionaries.
I hope you enjoy my work, it is my heart and soul bared out on the screen.
