Finding Sandler
In 1998, 22-year-old David Seth Cohen got his first job in the movie business as a PA on the film Big Daddy. Not only was he thrilled to be working on a real studio movie but it happened to be starring his hero, Adam Sandler. Throughout production, there were very few moments where David was able to interact with Adam until one day fate gave him the opportunity he’d been hoping for. Adam invited David into his apartment for a drink and David did what all good employees should do...he passed on the drink and went back to work.
Years later, after a vivid dream about that moment, David is still wondering “what if?” So with some video cameras from his small production company, a couple of friends helping out as his crew, and a mission, David makes the bold decision to risk everything and goes on a crazy/wild/daunting quest to recreate that once-in-a-lifetime chance with his hero and to finally have that drink in this charming, feel-good, inspirational, and award-winning documentary film….FINDING SANDLER.

David Seth Cohen is a multi-talented and versatile professional in the entertainment industry, with expertise as a writer, producer, director, cinematographer, photographer, editor, and actor.
Cohen's passion for entertaining others has always driven him. At 10, he began making films and performing live shows for his family with his cousin, and at 11, he saved up money to purchase his first video camera, the Fisher-Price PXL2000, which recorded on cassette tapes.
During a summer sleep-away camp, Cohen took the opportunity to host his own late-night radio show, The Dave Cohen Show, which he recorded on his boom-box, using his bunk-mates as guests and audience members after the counselors had gone to sleep.
Initially planning to become a lawyer, Cohen changed his major to Mass Communications with a focus on Film and Television after his close friend Brad Stoll, an actor, passed away during his junior year of college. From then on, Cohen never looked back, determined to pursue his dream of becoming a filmmaker.
His career took off when he was hired as an Associate Producer for a Telly Award-winning debate show in 2000 at The Catholic Faith Network (formerly Telecare TV). Cohen quickly rose the ranks to Producer, Senior Producer, and Executive Producer, where he created and ran four additional Telly Award-winning shows and produced commercials, PSAs, interstitials, and an Award-winning 48-hour live Telethon.
In 2002, Cohen established Precision Pictures LTD, a corporate production company that creates award-winning branded video content for organizations around the world and has had photographs published across multiple continents.
He went back into the entertainment world in 2006 by founding Legitimate Rascal Films, a company focused on the development, production, and post-production of film and television projects. Through LRF, Cohen produced the teen comedy film, After School Special, and in 2022, he premiered his award-winning documentary, Finding Sandler, which was screened at ten film festivals and won four awards.
Currently, Cohen continues to create branded video content and takes photos for organizations, while also developing a variety of film and television projects, including a high-concept animated action-comedy series for adults, Code of the Samurai, and a feature-length tennis comedy, The Ballboy.
