Ferriel
This is an opera/musical that I wrote, directed and filmed. It is the story of a failed composer (Ferriel), whose jealousy for his brother's musical success leads him to commit suicide. Upon meeting the Devil in the afterlife, Satan gives him a second chance at life, together with 4 wishes, in exchange for the murder of his brother. His deal with Satan has in it a caveat , that ultimately causes Ferriel to repent and seek redemption. However, before his heart fully embraces God, Satan curses him to be a Vampire; neither living nor dead, with a heart that is neither pious nor evil.

Issah Contractor is a musician with a passion to use the arts as a tool to learn and discover. As a result, his musical career has culminated in a dedication to create musical films such as 'Ferriel'.
Issah has funded this first film largely through his own income as a professional musician. His achievements in music include, winning a world wide competition in 2013 for drums, earning a full endorsement at age 26 for his bass playing, playing on numerous sessions and recordings, as well as writing for KPM EMI. And all the while supporting himself through gigs, teaching and various other avenues.
However, is original projects are those deepest to his sense of expression. His full catalogue can be found at www.issahcontractor.com, along with his first film 'Ferriel', and the synopsis /demo of his second film.
This is my first film. I was inspired by the writing of Milton and Shakespeare, and attempted to interpret their language through melody. I will get better as a director, and will continue to pursue this niche genre of musical films.
