Keil has been a filmmaker and activist since childhood, using storytelling to subvert systems of power and retake narrative control to advance progressive change. He won a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in Screenwriting-Playwriting in 2019. He wrote and directed the award-winning films “Human Resources” (2015, feature) and “Mono Generation” (2017, short), and has worked for over a decade as a freelance story consultant and screenplay ghostwriter. Since 2012 he has been a core member of renowned culture-jamming group the Yes Men, designing and leading multimedia performance-activism actions that use humor, invisible theater, and memorable mischief to make a splash in the media and amplify vital campaign messaging.
