Fasting and the Longevity Revolution
Based on the books and research of the world-renowned biogerontologist Dr. Valter Longo, the film gathers insights from leading experts in fasting, nutrition, and genetics, cutting-edge scientific studies, and the lifestyle of people who have demonstrated extraordinary longevity. It offers a comprehensive overview of mostly plant-based daily eating habits and certain fasting practices that can help us become healthier, live longer, and stay away from hospitals and medication.Fasting and the Longevity Revolution is a fascinating journey that takes us from California to the Andes in Ecuador, and then to Sardinia, Campania, and Calabria in Southern Italy, in search of the secrets of longevity. Narrated by three-time Academy Award nominee Edward Norton, the documentary explores how the food industry has come to resemble the tobacco industry, accelerating aging and contributing to overweight and obesity that leave people sick and dependent on expensive medication.
