Director Statement

This project holds a special place in my heart, because it isn't your traditional sports documentary. It takes an iconic figure in the late Kobe Bryant and focuses on his final year doing what he loved. He had reached a point where his body was failing and had to find a way to finish his professional journey on his own terms. It's a gritty part of his career that many people tend to gloss over, but I feel by focusing on it, we're able to see exactly what made Kobe so incredible in the first place.
