Director Biography - Jennifer Lynn Warren

Jennifer Lynn Warren is most known in the industry in her portrayal of Borquita LaLaurie in American Horror Story. There she worked with many of the greats including Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, and Jessica Lange. She had spent years in New York training before her career brought her to Hollywood south and New Orleans. It was there she booked her first role in the film Creature, produced by Sid Sheinberg (Former head of Universal).
Her life may have started in acting, but she has produced many plays that she has written and has an extensive theater directing list, including such shows as The Blue Room, Additional Particulars, and Short Lived Spectacle.

Her first jobs in Los Angeles were working for the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, performing and improvising on the occasional skit, and even making her way over to Conan's show.

She is the author of the book The Hollywood Actors Guide to the Film and Television Industry. She was compelled to write a tell all of the business after working for over ten years assisting casting directors and teaching courses on acting herself.

Once in Los Angeles, Jennifer began to focus on directing and producing. She has produced podcasts such as Involuntary Act and the Hollywood Actors Guide to the Film and Television Industry. She has also produced, directed, and adapted an August Strindberg play into a film. Her film, Come In, she wrote, produced, and directed in the midst of the pandemic with a crew of one.

Born and raised in rural Pennsylvania, you'd expect her to have a girl next door persona. She's sweet as pie when you meet her, but her dark sense of humor, love of all things horror and post-apocalyptic adds to the mystery to her characters she portrays, the messaging buried in her directing, and the ominous way her written words do that creepy crawly thing into your nightmares that makes you wonder, what deep dark secret she may be holding.

Artificial Intelligence is here to stay, and with it can come ingenuity, progress, and transformation. Left unchecked, as with all human inventions of the past, the darkness has begun to creep in.
While our Unions were on strike during the summer, I began to have nightmares about A.I. The "what if's" starting to echo in my head. I began to realize A.I. could go somewhere dark that no one seemed to be talking about yet, so I began to voice my fears to anyone who would listen.
When I saw realization and terror begin to dawn on the faces of those I was speaking to, I knew I wanted to get my message out to a wide audience, and what better place than the hearts and minds those of us who go to film festivals to be inspired and changed by the art around us?
My hope is that this film will not only take you on one woman's journey with unchecked artificial intelligence, but to also make you think twice the next time you agree to the terms of service.
