Director Biography - Noemi Sava

Noemi Sava (Catania, 1989) studied at the artistic high school Emilio Greco and graduated in Communication Sciences at University of Catania. At 18 she studied acting with the masters Piero Sammataro and Antonio Caruso and joined the cast of the show "Nove carusi che non si sa", whhich tour led her to act at the historical Teatro del Popolo of Siena and at the Piccolo Teatro of Catania. At the same time, Noemi started studying photography and video shooting, and joined the Burattini senza fili theater and film company.
From 2014 onwards, Noemi worked on the fan web series “Like me like a Joker” (which now counts 2 seasons on YouTube) as actress, cameraman, video editor, colorist and graphic designer.
During 2020, in full lockdown, Noemi takes part in the international series "Day Nine" created in collaboration with the Canadian production company Group of Rouges by Marliss Weber and Randy Brososky, creating together with Bruno Carmelo Mirabella the sixth episode: Schrödinger Paradox. At the same time she shoots a documentary short film, "Cieli Sospesi", about Covid-19, the days of isolation and the dramatic situation that involved the whole world.
During 2021 Noemi has studied at the historical film school "SNCI – Scuola Nazionale Cinema Indipendente" in Florence and, at the end of October 2021, she will achieve the professional diploma of Director of Photography.
In 2021, Noemi also wrote and directed the horror short film "Free Room" and she is currently working as director of photography in the making of the new short films of the Burattini senza fili company and in the third season of “Like me, like a Joker”.
