FRANKENGOLEM
The social identity that emerges from the stories of The Golem and Frankenstein is meant to explain their usefulness: monsters are designed to protect us and prevent the spread of horrible bloodlines. This can be also found in the Jewish hagiography, which created the Golem legend.
In this unique short movie, The force of the Golem exerted on anyone who commits acts of terror against Jews, becomes - in a blink of an eye - the iron wall of zionist leader Ze'ev Jabotinsky, and a moment of a lucky glance catches the transition from one monster to another.
Did the home turf on which each monster was born created a situation that Frankenstein rose to its creator? Does the transition from the Golem to Frankenstein signify the decline of the ages, or do we foresee a miraculous friendship between monsters?

Boaz Goldberg (1974) is a documentary filmmaker and an interdisciplinary artist. He worked as a music journalist for more than a decade ("Zman Tel Aviv", "City Mouse", "The City", "Israel Today") and meticulously covered the alternative music scene in Israel. Goldberg later had several editing and directing jobs in many television programs. He dabbled in painting, photography and recording music. All of this led him into the world of documentary filmmaking. Tomorrow's Gone, a full feature film about the life and death of Charlie Megira, is his debut feature documentary.
