Football is a poignant story about friendship, pride, and bonds that hold people together. Set in urban India, the film follows a group of childhood friends and their spouses. Among the friends, Ron and Priyanshu are the closest – though they vary widely in their outlook. Unexpectedly, one evening, a fierce argument during a football quiz drives them apart. Years later, Ron, now living in Dubai, decides to return, hoping to make peace and heal old wounds. Dipankar a close friend of Ron and Priyanshu tries to be the peace-maker. As the day draws near, old memories and unresolved pain rise to the surface. Football is a quiet reflection on regret and the longing to make things right. It shows how some wounds, though buried by time, never truly disappear. The film explores how people search for closure, even when life does not always give them the chance to find it.
