Zachary Chabot is an independent bilingual filmmaker based in Gatineau. The former actor spent 13 years portraying roles on the stage and the screen, earning recognition for his portrayals of Ewart (2017) in 'Schoolhouse', Linus Van Pelt (2016) in 'You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown' and Zach/Zoe (2012) in 'Annulé, Ça veux dire quoi?'. He is a graduate of the Media and Communication Studies program at Brock University where his debut short film, REWIND, was a finalist at the 24-Hour Film Festival. His film Road Trip won the 2020 edition of the festival. As of 2024, he is the Jury President for the Ottawa Canadian Film Festival.
Zach spends his free time writing and producing short films while enjoying talking and promoting independent Canadian cinema.
'FML' asks, "Can I really live without my phone?". It is a social commentary on the impact of smartphones using writing and performance as its driving force.
