Director Statement

Being a sex worker and filmmaker is a horror story. Hollywood loves to take our stories, exploit them, and marginalize us in the process.

Despite the thousands of sex workers who are also working film professionals—often using their strip club and OnlyFans income to subsidize their film careers—we have no agency in an industry that loves to use and dispose of us.

I made FILMGIRL for anyone who feels overlooked and underestimated by the film industry. Cinema belongs to all of us, not just the elite.

I hope you get a few good laughs out of FILMGIRL.
