Alexander Clavijo is an up-and-coming writer, director and producer with a degree in Creative Writing from the Art Institute of Philadelphia. He has created multiple short films, including EVERYTHING IN ITS RIGHT PLACE and MOTEL PARADISE, and has written or co-written 5 feature screenplays. Hailing originally from Philadelphia and based in Los Angeles, he honors his Latin-American heritage by centering Hispanic characters, cast, and crew members in his work, while emphasizing the experiences that we all may relate to. Alex enjoys writing and directing for a number of genres including drama, comedy, science fiction and thriller.
EVERYTHING IN ITS RIGHT PLACE is based on an original story whose heart sits at the crux of self-discovery amidst the modern urban landscape -- something chaotic, essential, joyful, and painful, all at the same time. While Sunrise, a Latina sex worker in Los Angeles, may exist singularly, her experience of coming to terms with family and her upbringing is something nearly all of us are forced to do.
Now and again, life thrusts these moments of reckoning upon us. How we decide to move forward is both the first and last question we have to answer. EVERYTHING IN ITS RIGHT PLACE seeks to show us the journey as we answer that question.
