Director Biography - Patrycja Kupczyk

My name is Patrycja. I was born in Poland, but I grew up in Dubai, U.A.E., for over 15 years, and now based in California. Currently studying Character Animation at CalArts, after reapplying 4 times, and previously studying at SCAD for 2 years. I believe in the power of storytelling to inspire, connect, and transform. From a young age, I was captivated by films that made me feel something real – stories that stayed with me long after the credits rolled. That passion led me to CalArts, where I’m honing my skills in character animation, storytelling, and filmmaking, where my journey has shaped my creativity and ambition. I thrive on pushing creative boundaries, bringing characters to life, and crafting narratives that leave a lasting impact. I’m constantly improving – not just as an artist, but as a person – embracing every challenge as an opportunity to grow.
I’m passionate about filmmaking, visual storytelling, and the endless pursuit of excellence. Every frame, every story, every project I take on is a step toward my dream: creating films that inspire, move, and stay with people forever.
