Artist Biography

Gary Johnson is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist, record producer, photographer and film-maker, who began composing original music at the age of 9, in his native Britain.

Four decades later, his compositions, productions and remixes have taken him around the world and he now resides outside the craziness of Los Angeles in Temecula, California.

Over the last 20 years, he has composed, recorded and produced theme, beds and stings for several US TV shows, including the Food Network's Daytime-Emmy Award-Winning "Barefoot Contessa" and more recently "Pioneer Woman".

In 2019, Johnson, 49, won four Film Festivals with his (along with two friends) powerful and emotive short film which he shot, edited, produced and scored. "Aurora Saves" also picked up the 2020 Digi Award in the Professional Digital Documentary Category.

Gary is currently working on his concept album "Hydrogeny" which, all being well, should be completed just in time for DigiFest 2022!

Artist Statement

"EōN" is the result of an international collaboration with pioneering French composer Jean-Michel Jarre. He invited certain producers to create work inspired by his infinite music project by the same name. This incredible achievement will continue to produce unique and ever-changing music long into the future and is available as app for smart phones and MacOS. While this track is completely unique and created solely by Gary Johnson in his Temecula studio, it was purposefully inspired by EōN's style and ever-changing textures. An accompanying 4K video also in the style of the app is also available.
