He soon finds himself over his head dealing with corrupt cops, zombies, dangerous mobsters, a lost puppy, ninjas, a budding romance, and ghosts. With mounting obstacles, Crunch realizes that he can't handle this one on his own, and must team up with Jaws and Buck if he wants to survive, let alone solve this case! Crunch only has one rule, never cross a cross-dresser!

Bio - Lee Demarbre

Born in Chicoutimi, Quebec and now settled in the nation’s capital, Lee Gordon Demarbre has been working behind cameras since high school. Video and broadcast television were fine to cut his teeth on, but they had neither the tactile quality nor the permanence to satisfy him.

So he turned to film.

Lee enrolled in film studies at Carleton University. With one eye on the curriculum of classics and the other on the latest Chinatown releases, he graduated. Now that he had the theory under his belt, Demarbre set his sights on the practical. He joined the Independent Filmmaker's Cooperative of Ottawa (IFCO). He registered for their workshop blocks, where he finally got his hands on some 16mm footage and looked through the viewfinder of a Bolex for the first time.

What Lee saw through that Bolex was unleashed on the world in the spring of 1998 when Lee finished his first short, Harry Knuckles. The film found success at various Canadian film festivals and a sequel was inevitable.

Harry Knuckles and the Treasure of the Aztec Mummy (1999) expanded Demarbre's oeuvre and earned over seven international film festival awards. Lee chased the film across North America as it toured the festival circuit, including a screening at the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles. A screening at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival gave Lee the chance to introduce Harry to Europe. The two hit it off and Harry Knuckles and the Treasure of the Aztec Mummy was one of the best-received Canadian films at the festival.

The dream of Lee's Odessa Filmworks Inc. became a reality in 2001, when it was officially incorporated. That same year also saw the launch of the official Odessa Filmworks website, www.odessafilmworks.com The production company's logo expresses Demarbre's multiple influences, which range from canonized to cutting edge to cult. All of these influences came into play during the production of Lee's first feature length film, Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter (2001). Since its release, the film has been raising eyebrows, dilating pupils and garnering seven awards at festivals across North America and in Europe. Playing to sold out crowds in every town it manifests in, Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter has the makings of a true cult phenomenon.

Never one to rest on his laurels, Demarbre completed his second feature length film entitled Harry Knuckles and the Pearl Necklace in 2004, and recently completed two feature films shot in Mexico; one documentary (Vampiro: Angel, Devil, Hero) and another narrative feature film entitled The Dead Sleep Easy. Finally in 2010 Demarbre saw the release of three feature length films: Smash Cut (starring horror legends David Hess, Michael Berryman, Ray Sager, Herschell Gordon Lewis and adult film star Sasha Grey), Summer’s Blood (starring Stephen McHattie and Ashley Greene) and Stripped Naked. Now 13 years later, Lee has finished his 8th feature film, Enter the Drag Dragon.

Ferociously dedicated to his art and his craft, Lee looks for influences and gains education where others might not. Lee's aesthetic is a new and unique addition to the evolving identity of Canadian films: it's an aesthetic equally at home with Jean-Luc Goddard or Burt Reynolds, Takeshi Kitano or Herschell Gordon Lewis, Tsui Hark or Sam Fuller, Guy Maddin or Melvin Van Peebles.

With influences coming from so many seemingly divergent sources, the course of Lee's future is hard to chart. But one thing's for sure: we'll all be able to watch it, up on the screen.
