When I first came to Nate Drew with the idea for ENGRAM, I was, admittedly, a little nervous for his response. Would he help me produce it? Is this story good enough to take over my life for the next few months? How would we even manage to produce it?

Never in my wildest dreams did I think that we would manage to get a 30+ person team or a $3000 budget or over 30 minutes of film that was shot over the course of three months. By the time you’re reading this, ENGRAM would’ve been a year-long project, created by and with some of the most talented, dedicated people I’ve ever met. The fact that ENGRAM, as Nate and I talk about often, is only our second short film excites me. As we strive to reach bigger, newer, better goals, I hope you will join us in that journey.

But for now, I’ll introduce you to the world of Nestor and Sofia. A story about a character who’s forced to face an altered reality. A story about a boy trying and failing to come to terms with his past. A story about grief, time, and the highest limits of human love. As you’re viewing the film, I implore you to explore these characters as real human beings and be able to understand their motivations.
