Kevin Eisenberg has a degree in Writing Arts from the National University of the Arts, in addition to being a writer he is a screenwriter, director and producer trained at the Argentine Film Industry Union Institute. As a writer, he received First Prize in the Literary Contest of the National University of La Plata for the story LA SEÑA DEL ANCHO. He assisted in producing, among other projects, the feature film LOS AMANTES ASTRONAUTAS, by Marco Berger, and the short film EL PERFUME DE LA TIERRA, by Matías Calzolari.
The Last Coffee coincides with a moment in my life that I feel is an engine ignition linked to the dream that I always had of making a personal film project, but i hadn't got the opportunity before. I think that this awakening is reflected in the narration through the protagonist who is discouraged, locked in a routine, but a situation occurs that puts him to the test and it is nothing less than trying to save the life of a man who is going to commit suicide. And from trying to save him, he can also somehow save himself. I seek to tell stories of marginalized characters in sordid, dark places, where a light bulb of hope suddenly lights up. We try to represent this search throughout the short film in all its aesthetic-narrative aspects. The directors that inspire me are the classics James Cameron, Brian De Palma, Rob Reiner. In Argentina Damián Szifrón, and as an international emerging Italian director Alice Rohrwacher.
