How do you follow-up a failure? This was the question reverberating in my mind after an embarrassing experience exhibiting my first feature film. I knew that my next outing would require a lot of introspection. After all, it is through fantasy and fiction that we can confront our darkest troubles and escape the burden of reality. So how did I follow-up a failure? I grabbed a camera and tried again. What resulted was “Elodie,” a story about looking beyond public perception in order to achieve personal satisfaction. It took two years of hard work from myself and many other struggling artists – all having suffered varying levels of failure. This is the common thread that brought the film to life and connects us with every viewer. We hope you enjoy our fantasy. May it serve as an escape for you, just as it did for those of us who poured our hearts into it.
